Breakfast Oats

This is a dish that I make in the evening and leave overnight. In the morning I will get up, nuke the oats and by the time I have finished showering, etc, the porridge is at the perfect temperature.
Leaving overnight is not required, it is a convenience.

Ingredients
- Sugar 1 tsp
- Cinnamon Powder 1/4 tsp
- Oats: 60g
- Milk: 140 ml (or 140 g if you are mixing on a scale)
Equipment
- Microwave save container 600ml or larger
Steps
- Mix the sugar, cinnamon powder and oats in the container
- This avoids clumps of cinnamon
- Add the milk and mix well
- Optional: Place the container in the fridge overnight
- Microwave the mixture in the container for 1 min 45 sec at 100% in a 1000W microwave
- Allow the mixture to cool down before enjoying
Notes
- A banana can be added to the porridge to add a bit more sweetness and more fibre
- Do not store the mixture for longer than 24 hours
